Synergy Aromas Supports The Hatchery Chicago by Providing Resources and Expertise to Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs – Press Release

Company to Open Test Kitchen Within Food Business Incubator to Provide Forum for Sharing Inspiring Taste Expertise

Wauconda, IL, May 9, 2019 – Synergy Aromas, Inc., a leading supplier of flavors, extracts and essences for the global food and beverage industry, has teamed up with The Hatchery Chicago, a non-profit food business incubator. Through the partnership, Synergy Aromas will utilize its extensive flavor expertise, consumer insights and product development knowledge to inspire innovation and help emerging food and beverage entrepreneurs with product development.

The mission of The Hatchery Chicago is to enable local food and beverage entrepreneurs to build and grow successful businesses through three major areas of need:  access to production space, financing and resources. The recently opened 67,000-square-foot Hatchery facility includes 56 private kitchens, meeting and office space, enhanced space for the Garfield Park Neighborhood Market (providing fresh produce to the community), and an on-site cooking school where top Chicago chefs will train local youth for culinary careers.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to be involved in The Hatchery, as it aligns with our core values and offers Synergy Aromas another avenue toward making a positive impact in the local Chicago community while creating sustainable economic growth,” said Scott Mortensen, vice president of sales and marketing at Synergy Aromas. “As we continue to focus on programs and partnerships that further our goal of being a good corporate citizen and community partner, this investment in an underserved area of Chicago allows us to contribute our time and talents to making a tangible impact for years to come.”

Synergy Aromas is establishing a kitchen at The Hatchery, scheduled to open on June 1, which will be fully stocked with the supplies and resources to provide a forum for utilizing the company’s expertise to support smaller companies regarding flavoring choices and taste profiles, as part of early product development. Synergy Aromas experts will be actively involved at The Hatchery on a regular basis.

“Our goal at The Hatchery Chicago is to join forces with impactful organizations and influencers to provide entrepreneurs with all the resources they need to best navigate the food and beverage industry, and to that end, partnering with Synergy Aromas, a dynamic flavor industry leader that is right here in our backyard, provides an invaluable benefit to food and beverage entrepreneurs,” said Natalie Shmulik, chief executive officer of The Hatchery Chicago. “At the end of the day, our goal is to help future food and beverage industry leaders achieve business success, in turn creating more jobs and improving the local economy.”
